Cost Optimization

IT Cost Optimization Consulting.

Technology budgets don’t explode — they creep. A SaaS seat here, an auto-renewed contract there, two tools doing the same job because two teams never spoke. We audit the whole picture: licences, vendors, infrastructure, development spend and the processes wrapped around them. Then we cut what’s wasted and renegotiate what isn’t — without breaking the things your business runs on.

Spend less. Break nothing.

Cost cutting has a bad name because it’s usually done blind. We start with visibility, so every saving is a decision, not a gamble.

A complete map of the spend

Every licence, subscription, vendor contract and infrastructure line item in one inventory — often the first time anyone in the company has seen the full number.

Savings ranked by risk

Each cut scored by value and blast radius. The easy 20–40% tends to hide in unused seats, duplicate tools and auto-renewals nobody read.

Leverage at the negotiating table

Usage data and market benchmarks turn a vendor renewal from a rubber stamp into an actual negotiation. Vendors behave differently when you arrive with numbers.

A budget that stays optimized

Renewal calendars, spending guardrails and quarterly reviews — so the waste doesn’t quietly grow back next year.

What the audit covers

Technology cost audit — full spend inventory
Software licence & SaaS portfolio optimization
Vendor consolidation & renewal renegotiation support
Duplicated tooling elimination
Infrastructure & hosting spend review
Development spend review — build, buy or retire
Process automation to cut manual overhead
Ongoing cost governance & reporting

From invoices to savings

Four stages, each one ending in something you can act on — not a hundred-page PDF.

01

Inventory

We collect every contract, invoice, licence count and hosting bill, then interview the teams who actually use them. Shadow IT included — that’s where the surprises live.

02

Analysis

Usage versus spend, overlap between tools, market benchmarks per vendor. The output is a line-by-line verdict: keep, shrink, merge or kill.

03

Savings plan

A prioritised plan with owners, timelines and risk notes — quick wins first, structural changes after. You approve every cut before it happens.

04

Execute & govern

We renegotiate, consolidate and decommission alongside your team, then set up renewal alerts and quarterly reviews so the numbers stay down.

FAQ

What does a technology cost audit actually cover?
Everything with an invoice attached: SaaS subscriptions, software licences, vendor and support contracts, hosting and infrastructure, plus your development spend. We also look at the manual processes around them, because paying people to do what software should is a cost too.
How is this different from cloud cost optimization?
Cloud is one line item; this is the whole budget. If your main pain is the AWS bill, our Cloud & DevOps team handles FinOps specifically. This engagement covers everything else as well — licences, vendors, tooling, dev spend — and the cloud bill is often not even the biggest leak.
How much can we realistically save?
It depends on how long the budget has grown unattended. Finding 20–40% of addressable waste is a common first-audit result — unused seats and forgotten renewals alone add up fast. We won’t promise a number before seeing the inventory, and we’ll tell you honestly if your spend is already tight.
Will cutting costs slow our teams down?
Done right, the opposite: fewer overlapping tools means less context-switching and less licence admin. Nothing gets cut without sign-off from the people who use it — that rule is what keeps optimization from turning into sabotage.
How do you charge for this?
The audit is a fixed fee, scoped after a short call about your company size and stack. Implementation support afterwards is optional and priced separately. In a typical engagement the audit findings cover its cost several times over — though we treat that as a pattern, not a promise.
Will we have to switch vendors?
Often not. The first move is renegotiating with your current vendors from a position of data. Switching only makes the plan when the maths clearly wins after migration cost and disruption are counted in — and that bar is higher than most sales decks admit.
